It all started with the .com. One of the oldest and wide used TLDs. So if you as a webmaster search for available domain in the .com trend you will be very disappointed: all of the good and even not so good .coms are taken and half of them are parked and waiting somebody to pay a huge amount of dollars to take it. I’ll tell you about the sites I make. I am fan of the affiliate sites. When I have to build an online shop I use affiliate links and big lists of products instead of putting Adsense, Chitika, Kontera all over the pages. I put quantity before quality and as far as I know other affiliates do the same. These many products make thousands of different pages full of keywords and descriptions made for the current product. So if one searches for that product I sometimes go above the advertiser that in fact sells it. The catch here is there are so many products and they have specific names so people will not find my site with keywords that do not mention my products directly. Also the descriptions I use for the big product sites are copying the descriptions of the products of the original advertiser so there is a duplicate content issue here too. Click to read more …
